How it all started...
The deep history of Pine Log Church extends nearly 200 years. The church was originally organized in 1834 by the Reverend Stephen Ellis. The present church building was constructed in 1842. As the oldest continuously used church structure in Northwest Georgia, it has been a place where people have encountered the love of God for generations.
While we believe that God is a God of the future and of new creation, we also understand that remembrance of the past helps us to gain purpose, hope, and perspective for God's future vision.

Expanding the vision...
Our story is truly His story! It is not simply a story of a building that has withstood the test of time. It is the story of a living and breathing community of faith that continues to share the love of Jesus Christ with others. It is the story of a place where broken people gather to find hope. It a story about a place where people who have been told they don’t belong suddenly find a place to call home. It is the story of a place where marriages have been healed, sin has been overcome, and stuck people have found new traction. Our story is a story of a place where hurting people find healing, forgiveness is offered, prayers are answered, miracles happen, and where hope is given.
Where we are headed...
Just as God has continued to restore lives throughout the history of Pine Log Church, we believe that God is continuing to create a church where people will bring their biggest burdens and place them at the foot of the cross. We believe that the church is not confined within the walls of a certain space. But that God is on the move creating sacred and healing communities throughout the world. Most importantly, we believe that YOU are a part of the future story of the church that God is creating here at Pine Log .
